Active in Frankfurt’s dance music scene since the early ’90s, techno producer and DJ Chris Liebing released productions for a number of labels — Audio, Clau, Molecular, Molecular, Primate, his own C.L.R., and several others — throughout the late ’90s and early 2000s. In 2005, he worked with Speedy J on Collabs 3000: Metalism, released on Novamute.

Bart Skils’s career started in 1995 when he started working for the classic label and recordshop Outland Records. First playing in Amsterdam’s legendary Mazzo club he became resident with his weekly VOLTT nights. Known for his smooth mixing and dynamic sets he steadily developed his own typical deep driving techno style. Nowadays he is considered to be part of the so called 2nd generation of Dutch techno that include artists like 2000 and One, Shinedoe, Joris Voorn/Rejected and Polder. His style ranges from rhythmic deep techno to minimal electronics, always funky and danceable. He is also one of the founders and host of the highly respected VOLTT, Traffic and Static events, all situated in Amsterdam.

Lovers of electronic music have been esteeming Minilogue for many years. In 2008 it is almost impossible to imagine club music without the two musicians from Malmö, Sweden. Nowadays, electronic producers tend to retreat into their special stylistic niche - Minilogue dare to draw the bigger picture. After releasing outstanding productions on such renowned labels as Traum, Crosstown Rebels or Wagon Repair, there opus magnum is to appear on Sven Väths Cocoon Recordings. There are few producers who match Cocoon’s vision of an electronic sound both on the dancefloor and beyond the club so perfectly: “Animals” covers a wide spectrum of music, it reaches from peaktime techno to beatless deep ambient. The full range of Minilogue’s vision of electronic music is developed on a double CD, while the vinyl version naturally focuses on the dance tracks. The immediacy of the club tracks sweeps everything away that is circumstantial and long-winded in contemporary dance music. The tracks incorporate the elegance and simplicity of classical early Nineties’ techno, the economy and lightness of the minimal sound and the sweetness and charm of the recent developments. “Animals” is not a collection of single tracks but a journey that is supposed be listened form beginning to end, it is mixed in a seamless flow.

Eric Sneo - Let..s go techno! Electronic music is a mirror of the soul, as well as a reflection of energy! Inspired by the sets of Sven Väth at the legendary Omen club in Frankfurt between the years 1992-1995, Eric discovered his love for techno and electronic music. In 1998 he became a resident DJ in one of the most famous techno clubs in Germany. In 2002 started his own party series Tanz Der Familie Around this same time period together with Udo Niebergall, the labels Masters Of Disaster and Beatdisaster were founded. These labels featured releases from Gayle San, The Advent, Chris Liebing, Hertz, Rush, etc, and were also a platform for Sneos own releases.

Released his first EP aged 19 on Solemusic’s Tronicsole imprint. Known for his dark, almost techno influenced deep house music. Milton Jackson tends to fuse straight driving beats with eclectic, techy production styles. His first and so far only long player, ‘The Bionic Boy’ was received well by critics and the house fraternity and it spawned the Pepe Bradock influenced ‘Sunlight’. After having mainly appeared on Glasgow labels such as Solemusic and Glasgow Underground, 2006 sees Milton spread his wings with EPs due out on Freerange, Silver Network, Urbantorque and Luke Sardello’s Icon Recordings.

A former staffer at the embassy in London, Frenchman Laurent Garnier began DJing in Manchester during the late ’80s and became by the following decade one of the best all-around DJs in the world, able to span classic deep house and Detroit techno, the harder side of acid/trance and surprisingly jazzy tracks as well. He added production work to his schedule in the early ’90s, and recorded several brilliant LPs with a similar penchant for diversity.

Tiefschwarz was formed in 1996 by two brothers – Alexander and Sebastian Schwarz – who have been successful DJs for over a decade. Peter Hoff, who runs the Benztown studios in Stuttgart, completes the Tiefschwarz production team. Ali and Basti came up with the name for their project after a DJ gig. Tiefschwarz, which is German for ‘deep black’, is a mixture of their last name, Schwarz, and their love for deep house.
