Luciano Esse - “35″ - 29-04-2008

admin | April 30, 2008

LUCIANO ESSE has an expert knowledge of music in all its expression. He started to work in 1990 with “Enjoy Group”, a collective which changed the way house music was percieved in south of Italy. From 1995 till 1999 he worked with “House Essentials” and became one of the best promoters in his country. Year 2000, he joined “The Flame” crew, which is at the farefront of music reality in most of Italy. With The Flame crew he started to have the first contact with decks and vynils, whilst keeping contact with the people that always followed him to the best underground parties. He moved to London in 2001 to make deeper his music knowledge and in summer 2002 he got a weekly residency on sunday night at “Turnmills”, also playing at “The Arches”, “Crash”, “The Egg”, “AKA (The End)”, “The Rex”. In 2005 he started to organise his own party “ZUM” at the most undergound clubs in London. In the same year John Digweed hosts him at his Kiss 100 Radio Show. The most important moment of his career so far is his gig at “Fabric” as he is one of the first italian djs to have this big honour, in April 2006, followed by several other gigs in the months to come. In summers 2006 and 2007 he was one of the resident djs of “Vitalik Crew” at We Love Sundays at Space in Ibiza.

Oliver Huntemann @ Rex Club 22-02-2008

admin |

Electronic Dance Music dominates the urban club culture since more than 15 years. Between many highs and lows techno music has proven, that it is here to stay. Not many techno artists managed to do that in the same manner. Bremen based recording artist and DJ Oliver Huntemann definitely belongs to the few activists, who kept on holding up the torch since the beginning.

Dave Clarke @ White Noise 26-04-2008

admin |

By the millennium many first generation techno DJs had fallen by the wayside, drifting off up blind allies and sub-genres, but Clarke’s sets, his extraordinary mixing skills mashing up techno, electro, ghetto-tek, hip hop and even 1980s new wave numbers, remained in constant demand.

Jussi Pekka @ Plattenleger 20-04-2008

admin |

Hailing from the Frozen North, with the highest amount of mobile phones and internet connections per head, where saunas and reindeer rule your life, where in dark days it seems like kind of a logical conclusion to lock yourself away in the studio, this is the world of our favourite Finn Jussi-Pekka. So far he can look back on an impressive release catalogue including productions for highly respected labels such as Poker Flat ( “Dancing Queen”), Morris/Audio (”Work it”), Slip’n'Slide, Audiomatique (”Let it go”), Out of Orbit (”Stereo interleaved”), Dessous, Latenightessentials, Vuo, Statra, Worldless (”The Snake”), Disco Inc/ Force Inc. and not to forget his very own imprint Frozen North Recordings, which he started in 2005 to give himself as well as other Finnish artists the chance to spread the more and more sought-after Scandinavian beats.
