Mr. Marc Romboy knows what’s up! Being in the music biz for over a decade, co-founding and building up internationally respected dance-music labels and projects, Marc never got tired of coming up with fresh and innovative ideas in order to push the limits of electronic sounds.
Marascia starts his artistic carreer in the mid 90s working actively for some independent labels. Among some of his first house music experiments the land of rhythm EP gets immediate international feedback. From this moment on his name starts appearing on the most influential djs charts and playlists. He works as a producer as well as a remixer and he is asked to remix tracks by Todd Terry, John Aquaviva and Richie Hawtin on legendary labels such as Illegal and Strictly rhythm. He then starts djing in the most important clubs in England, Spain, Germany, France and even Russia.

Darko Esser has a few very successful years behind him. He can look back on performances at festivals like Extrema, Awakenings and Lowlands. He’s also been busy with releasing his own records on prestigious labels Underwater, Audiomatique and Ovum. Furthermore, the Dutch public voted Doornroosje, where Darko is in charge of dance, ‘Club of the Year’ (Nieuwe Revu Nachttempel Award) in 2006.Even though the past looks good, the future looks even better. On december 8th 2006, Darko’s first record on Josh Wink’s Ovum label will be released. Also coming up are releases on Deep Focus (Onionboy EP, with remixes by Le Clic a.o.), Wolfskuil (solo record with remix by Petter) and Poussez!. This label, owned by DJ Yellow, will release a Darko Esser single next year. Darko also remixed Mateo Murphy’s track ‘Solaris’ for Mateo’s upcoming EP. Darren Emerson’s label Underwater has contracted Darko and his good friend Benny Rodrigues for 2 EP’s: one with tracks by Benny and Darko and one with tracks by Benny, Darko and Warren Fellow. And finally: Darko’s remix for Baxter Priestly ‘Release your head’ will be released on Manual Music in January of 2007.

After a nearly ten-year hiatus and with mobile DJing far behind him, Jaime returned to the scene in the Spring of 2005, with a calling to dance music. He DJ’s under his birth name, Jaime James, and occasionally under the alias Gaijin. Jaime’s mixing style blends minimal, techno, tech-house, and other dance genres he feels will move the crowd. Since his return, Jaime has DJ’d numerous underground events and clubs around the San Francisco Bay Area. As the title of his recent 12-inch states, Laurent Garnier has been getting back to his roots of late. After spending much of the early ’00s chasing down his jazz muse with Bugge Wesseltoft and indulging all sorts of influences (rock included) on 2005’s The Cloud Making Machine, Garnier is now focusing his attention again solely on dance music.
His RA podcast is quintessential Garnier: driving, bigroom, and unafraid of jazz instrumentation or progressive touches. Beginning with Miss Fitz’s controversial Nina Simone-sampling ‘Drifting On’, the mix travels 65 minutes of house and techno that is pure Garnier. There’ll be a couple you know, there’ll be a few that you don’t, but Garnier keeps this party bumping throughout. In fact, you may just have a red face, by its end, from dancing so hard.

The deepest meaning of ‘collage’, defined by Max Ernst, is the general application of Arthur Rimabaud’s ‘delirium’: “I accustomed myself to simple hallucination; I saw quite deliberately a mosque instead of a factory, a drummer’s school conducted by angels, carriages on the highways of the sky, a salon at the bottom of a lake: monsters, mysteries, a vaudeville poster raising horrors before my eyes”. We could describe collage as an alchemic compound of two or more heterogeneous elements, derivate by their unexpected approximation generated deliberately by the search of systematic confusion and distorted perception. That’s Alex Unders’ musical universe. Based in Madrid, this producer is the ‘CMYK’ label manager. He is also one of the men behind ‘Apnea’ and ‘Bemysheep’, and one of the founders of Net28 (the net behind these labels and others like ‘Cyclical Tracks’ and ‘Pulpa’).
He is influenced by various branches of electronic music, especially by Detroit techno and Christian Vogel, Neil Landstrum, Plastikman or Jeff Mills productions. In his first stage, he creates together with Dj Slick the collective Domestic Techno, carrying out parties in several basements of their city. Throughout time he has tested almost every single style inside electronic and dance music. After a large period of techno investigation and development, Tadeo runs Cyclical Tracks a Mental Techno label oriented to various kinds of art expressions. In this second stage, he purifies his technique and studies with care the connection with audience, trying to make this connection the principal resource of his sets. Since then and little by little, minimal and electronic sounds start to become a natural rule both in his sets and productions. He also has predilection for dub and sounds which emanate from jamaican music.
