After Gregor Tresher in spring 2008, Martin Swanstein alias Martinez is the next long time companion of the club scene to join Moon Harbour this year. The Copenhagen based DJ and producer has built up an impressive discography within the last seven years and
affected the catalogue of labels like Guidance and Audiomatique decisively. With Out Of Orbit Recordings and Re:connected Martinez could also establish his own platforms. Known for excessive tech house tracks Martinez reflects the typical Scandinavian club sound that captivates by both its deepness and its clarity. The enhancement of his music, which can already be witnessed on his “Retrospective EP” on 3rd Floor, is even more evident his Moon Harbour debut.

„Momomowha” is an impulsive techno track, which however avails itself of the aesthetics of various house elements. The fact it runs more than eleven minutes is not conspicuous at all. The beat pushes forward undeviatingly, retaining its presence even during the longer breaks. The vocal sample of “Momomowha”, which is looping through the whole track, is backing up the straight character of the rhythm, adding a wonderful funky touch that gives somewhat of a timeless note to the track.

“Day By Day” is more obviously rooted in house music. The beat is twisted, but still pushing forward. It is thus a good contrast to the warm sounding chords and shows a slightly deeper side of Martinez.
