Update 27/09 : I can feel your pain guys. It was really hard decision after all this time I dedicated to this site. However, as I said, things have gone out of hand for only a single person to manage.
What I would like is to probably start from a scratch with a new community project.
- This is to say that other people will get involve as well. As it is really hard to sort all the good music from all the crap.
- A community where people will get involved in the design, moderation, paying the server costs and of course contribute with quality music.
- Think about it as a small family to share great music, discuss interesting stuff, make friends and much more.
For all this to happen there is need for motivated people. That’s how I feel this stuff. Thus to stay, toxic-culture.org needs to evolve. But it needs your help.

Dear Members and Visitors of toxic-culture.org,
I am putting this project on hold. The genuine reasons for this are:
- For more than a year and half I’ve been managing this site. Simply I do not have the time and energy to keep doing this by myself.
- For the past couple of months a Dedicated Server has been used to host all media files. I cannot keep the server alive as it costs a fare amount of cash.
- Music wise, I believe the minimal scene has became way too popular and the crap and shit around it as well.
Simply put I cannot run this site anymore by myself. Therefore I am taking some time to re-think all that has happened and plan this project’s future.
Please feel free to comment on this.

This is my favorite website for quality techno DJ and live sets. Thanks for all your hard work. It would be awesome if it could continue but I understand the thankless and financially challenging nature of web based volunteer work. You’ve done a great job.
We understand, its a shame… Find some amazing drink alone here music set on here. Hope to find more sites but been pretty much 1 month and a Half with ut any luck…

I totally agree with the other people, toxic-culture is an awesome website, with many great sets, many daily releases… I’d be happy to donate if it can pay the time you need to work on this site and the server!

Hey man, I understand. I have two servers at home that a barely spend time with these days with my 9 to 5 being more like 7 to 7. However, if you need help putting together a better server and an easier way to maintain the site, my wife and I are IT professionals. She specializes in Content Management and Web Development. There is already livesets.com amongst others. It just uses a forum instead of wordpress. You can turn wordpress like a forum and allow user submissions, but forums still sort of work better.
If server costs are from providing direct downloads then that should simply be abandoned because it’s just not really feasible. Using the new file-sharing sites like Megaupload and Soundcloud is the way to go.

and i think you shouldn’t give up!
Just find a competent crew to help you out with managing the site, I’m sure there are a lot of t/c members that are more than willing to help you out with this one, just need to find the right persons perhaps?
Maybe it would be helpfull to post something simillar to a job appliance formular with you’re needs and requierments and let people know how they can help…
Regarding the financial part, I have no ideea, maybe some adds will help.
