This year’s Sven Väth’s annual Love Family Park from Hanau in Germany celebrated its 10 years anniversary. In 1996 the festival began with just two DJs, Sven Väth and DJ T., playing in Dunlop Park. In 2002 the festival moved to Mainwiesen (the meadows by the river Main) and has continued very successfully in its new home since. This year the line-up included such names as Sven Vath, Turntablerocker, Richie Hawtin, Ricardo Villalobos, Tiefschwarz, Tobi Neumann, Heiko M/S/O, Michael Mayer, Andre Galluzzi, Frank Lorber, Toni Rios, Chris Zander, Meat and Seebase.
The festival is an open-air event held in fields at Mainweisen Hanau, about an hour north from Frankfurt by train, and runs from 10am until 10pm… and of course, Continental-style, there is an official afterparty at the legendary Robert Johnson / MTW club in Offenbach, just outside of Frankfurt itself.
