Here we go today with a double combo (mix + video) of Richie Hawtin’s performance at Gorod Club. As the video and mix date almost 4 years ago, we can use it to compare his personal evolvement of his dj style.

Do you remember what Adam Beyer, Ricardo Villalobos, Chris Liebing, etc used to play that time (or little bit earlier)?

There aren’t any real techno heroes left, ok maybe with few exceptions and not counting the never dying Schranz madness coming from Mario Ranieri, Frank Kvita, Amok,etc. These guys would keep their style till the end of the world. Or is that a non-sense? Think of Felix Kroecher here.

And last but not least I need to pay all my respect to Ben Sims, Dave The Drummer, Ant & all the Liberators that they still keep banging that techno spirit. However the moral story of all this is “Expect the unexpected!”. Only time will show…
